As part of Tidy Wales Week, staff from Keep Wales Tidy joined volunteers on a tidy-up of their local areas. After a hard day of collecting litter and removing graffiti, everyone got their five minutes of fame by appearing on S4C programme Wedi 3.

Nationwide clean up underway

Environment Minister Jane Davidson will be getting on her bike in a bid to encourage the people of Wales to tackle litter black spots in their localities. The seven day nationwide clean-up campaign, Tidy Wales Week, runs from September 21-27th and is spearheaded by Keep Wales Tidy. The Minister will signal the start of the initiative by riding her bike and trailer along Cardiff Bay waterfront and will invite the volunteer litter pickers to fill her trailer with collected rubbish.

Record numbers support Tidy Wales week

The rallying call to the people of Wales to get their hands dirty in an effort to eliminate litter and waste black-spots has resulted in a record number of participants pledging to support the nationwide Tidy Wales Week which starts on 21st September.
